The First: August 2017

August has arrived! It's time to see what goodies SmallWorlds has set as its monthly wear and kudos prize! I always get excited for the first of the month, eager to see the new items. Let's dive right in!

Paris the Poodle was introduced on August 1st as this month's monthly collectable. No super rare wearable this month! Even so, when I first saw Paris she instantly reminded me that this month is fashion month. (P.S. August is fashion month incase you didn't know.) As poodles are often linked with the fashion community, I think this wear was a great choice for this month. Even though Paris is joining the dozens of other dog wears already circulating through our community, I'll let it slide because she looks so FLUFFY.

Hee hee. This wear has the now standard blinking animation plus an occasional panting animation with its cute little tongue sticking out! I'm also getting a feeling that the schematics of this wear are more advanced than what I have seen in the past. The movements are sharper and more fluid, making this pooch more life-like. Paris will give the user +30 speed, +10 health, and +10 nature resistance. To view the original article, click here!

Someone please save me from this cheap-looking kiddie toy. The Kudos Star Camera was also released on August 1st as this month's Kudos reward along with 250 gold. This item will give the beholder a +10 speed and +10 health attribute boost. I honestly can't find a reason to use this item except for displaying it as a decor piece in a children's room or daycare. The bright colors of the object do give it a childish vibe. It's just another tacky collectable that will rot in my inventory for the rest of my days. Although, it does has a cool flashing animation periodically, as if the camera were actually taking a picture. Cover your eyes kids, not only will this bright light blind you, but so will my tan lines:

That's pretty much all I have to say on this item. I hate to be so negative about things, these are just my opinions. Maybe I can find a way to incorporate the Kudos Star Camera into an outfit using some of the new clothes set to be released during fashion month? We'll have to see... I hope to make this a monthly thing and I went ahead and excluded these items from my fashion month mega review mainly because these items were vaguely related to the theme and I'll be focusing more on reviewing clothing and interviewing those with a nack for fashion for the review!
