I'm lazy. It's true, I know it's hard to believe, but I enjoy lounging through life. That's why today I'm getting my butt up and am going missioning! I haven't missioned in ages, and some of my levels are slacking... particularly my artist level. So today I and scouring the mission tab for two easy, fun, and simple artist XP missions to help boost my artist level. And a boy can never have too many tokens, am I right?

When I first opened my mission tab, I noticed (after all the SmallWorlds owned missions) an abundance of Christmas themed missions. I thought to myself, why not? Most of these missions give artist XP anyways. So I set out for my first mission, Santa is that really you? by Mark Gx. At 8,417 plays and an average 4.7 star rating by 2,911 users, this SmallWorlds Approved mission takes an average of eight minutes to complete. There is an entrance fee of 25 tokens, which is a reasonable price.

Upon entering the space, you must click the mission play button and select 'Play Mission' to begin the mission. The mission begins with you coming home from school, snow falling outside and the pleasing thought of a white Christmas. As the night goes on, you do your homework which your teacher so rudely gave you over Christmas holiday, warm yourself by the fire, and wash up before going off to bed. But as you drift off to sleep you hear a noise come from the living room. To find out what happens next, I suggest you give the mission a try! To go to the mission space, click here!
Overall the mission was very simple and quick, and I think it might have ended a bit too abruptly. Mark really makes you work in completing the tasks. You have to read each mission card carefully to decode what actions you must take. They aren't given to you like some other missions do, and I actually find Mark's type of mission more fulfilling and involving. The mission's interactions were complex, having to find the right chair to sit in, or the right bed in which to lay. I even tried completing two tasks at the same time, but the mission stopped me because washing your hands while still on the toilet is unrealistic. I did enjoy this mission, even though my mother's spirit was embodied in almost every object in the space. Do the mission and you'll know what I'm talking about!

The next artist mission that I decided to do was Santa Claus is coming to school by Laurie Avatar. This mission stood out to me because it was the next artist mission after Santa is that really you? and it was also located directly next to it as well. Really lazy, remember? At 4890 plays with an average star rating of 4.8 by 1942 users, you will need to pay a play fee of 50 tokens to start this mission, which is, for me, on the high side. It will also take an average of about eight minutes to complete this SmallWorlds Approved mission, so let's begin!

You seem to enter the space through an igloo into a snowy landscape filled with pine trees and reindeer. Once again, you will need to select 'Mission' on the mission play button before you to begin the mission. Immediately you're almost trampled by a pack of dogs (how lovely) as you run your way to school. This is done by various pieces of vegetation that are scattered around the landscape BARKING AT YOU. As ridiculous as this sounds, it actually is a very cool effect and puts you in the moment as your avatar involuntarily runs to the front doors of the school building. It's really fun to watch. Oh, and then the dogs make you late to school. Great. Upon entering class, and after you're ratted out for being late by a fellow classmate, your teacher announces that Santa is going to be visiting the class. But first you need to read like 50 chapters from your textbook while dreaming about something called an MK 40 Super Soaker 1000. And then Santa arrives... to find out what happens next, play the mission for yourself! You can do so by clicking here!
Okay, this mission took me by surprise. Seriously, the moment I stopped my summary from above, everything in the mission kind of went out the window and I couldn't tell what was real and what was fake. You'll get what I mean if you play the mission. Anywho, this mission was very well rounded with amazing schematics. The interactions really set up the scenes, and the NPC interactions with the player made it seem like you were in a movie. Great job Laurie! Extra points for naming the teacher Mrs. Goober. ;)
That's it for this "Episode" of Missioning Mayhem! I hope you enjoyed my walkthroughs of Santa is that really you? and Santa Claus is coming to school. I had fun playing them, and I suggest you give them a try! You can find them on the second page of the mission tab's Approved section as of now.
If you want me to take part in a particular mission or wish me to review a certain something, tell me by using the new comment section at the bottom of the page! Until next time, look out for more blog posts about my virtual life!
