Earning Gold: My Take

It's rare that you'll find me buying gold with money. Often times, mainly because I'm a cheap skate, I earn my gold. Now, there are many ways you can earn gold, but for some time my preferred option has been watching videos. "Oh my gosh, Ted! Watching videos doesn't earn you all that much gold!" I know, I know. But if I can get 500 gold out of watching videos, it's been a good day.

Here's another thing about me: I love flea market shopping. When I don't want to Spin to Win, because I never have any luck at it (remember the picture above?), I like to pick and choose from the prizes available, which can often be found at junk shops or fleas for super cheap prices (30-150 gold). Earning gold by watching videos gets me the money to indulge myself in a little shopping spree. And when there's a double (or heaven forbid, triple) gold event, I'm cranking out those videos. Do I have a problem?

Whenever I find myself in Trading Post or Town Center and I see newer players asking others for gold, I always become sadden when I see them get brutally shot down by others for asking. I always try suggesting the idea of earning gold, because I know if they work hard enough at it and save up, they can afford what they're looking for (ex. a house, clothing, etc.). Now I might be stepping outside of my area of influence, but if this ever happens to you or you see another player asking for gold, suggest the earning gold option. It's a polite way of declining their request while giving them another way to reach their goal. Plus, it protects against scams.

Here's half the reason to why I wanted to write this post. Lately earning gold by watching videos has become very limited. While the offers have been nice (24 gold per video, which is a very delectable deal), they have also been scarce. Why have the video offers become unavailable more frequently? I also want to expand my horizons by finding other ways to earn gold, but I'm scared to do offers within gold terminals for the fear that my personal information might be at risk. All I want is a simple and easy way to continue to earn gold, so if any of you have suggestions, please let me know by leaving a comment down below!
